Born in 1983, Linda Sanchez lives and works in Marseille. She graduated from the École Supérieure d'Art Annecy Alpes in 2006 and subsequently obtained a DSRA (2015). She has taken up numerous residencies, including at the Casa de Velázquez, and has participated in workshops and collaborations that have enabled her to develop her research. Her work was supported very early on by the IAC in Villeurbanne. She was awarded the Bullukian Foundation Prize in 2013 and was selected for the 62nd edition of the Salon de Montrouge. Linda Sanchez was awarded the Emerige Revelations Prize in 2017 and the Prix Découverte des Amis du Palais de Tokyo in 2018. Her first solo exhibition at Galerie Papillon will take place that same year. Recently, her work was presented in the exhibition "Futur, ancien, fugitif" dedicated to the French scene at the Palais de Tokyo. Her works have entered the public collections of the Cnap - Fonds national d'art contemporain and those of the Frac Rhône-Alpes and PACA.
